Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available for purchases made on Grainstash, operated by [Company Legal Name]. Because Grainstash sells digital goods (sample packs and bundles) that are delivered instantly and can be copied, our default stance is different from that for physical products. This policy is part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service.

1. General policy: digital goods

Once a digital product has been delivered and downloaded, the sale is generally final and non-refundable, because the content cannot be returned. Please use the previews and any provided details to evaluate a pack before buying. The exceptions below still apply, and nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have.

2. When we will provide a refund

We will review and, where appropriate, refund a purchase in cases such as:

  • Faulty or corrupt files: the download is broken, incomplete, or the audio is unusable, and we cannot promptly provide a working replacement.
  • Materially misrepresented packs: the product is significantly not as described (for example, wrong content, missing files, or grossly inaccurate details).
  • Duplicate or accidental charges: you were charged more than once for the same item, or a clear billing error occurred.
  • Unauthorized transactions: a charge you did not make or authorize (please also contact your bank).

Where a fault can be fixed, we may first offer a working replacement or re-download before issuing a refund.

3. When refunds are not available

Outside the cases above and your statutory rights, we generally cannot offer refunds when:

  • you changed your mind after downloading the files;
  • you bought the wrong item by mistake but it works as described;
  • you no longer want or need the content, or it does not fit your project;
  • you lack the software or skills to use the files; or
  • you have already used the content in a project or release.

4. Your statutory rights (consumers)

If you are a consumer, you may have additional rights under the law of your country. In particular, for digital content many jurisdictions (including the EU/EEA and the UK) allow you to lose the statutory "cooling-off" right to withdraw only after you have given your express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you lose that right once the download begins. Where such consumer protections apply, they take precedence over the general policy above. This policy does not affect rights that cannot be waived.

5. Subscriptions

Subscription fees are billed in advance and are generally non-refundable for the current billing period. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. If you were charged after cancelling, or because of a billing error, contact us and we will make it right. See our Terms of Service for how subscriptions and billing work.

6. How to request a refund

Email support@grainstash.com within 14 days of your purchase with:

  • the email address used for the order;
  • the order or receipt reference;
  • the name of the pack, bundle, or subscription; and
  • a short description of the problem (screenshots help for faulty files).

We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe; the time for the funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.

7. Marketplace purchases and sellers

Grainstash is a marketplace, and many packs are sold by independent creators. We handle refund requests in line with this policy and may coordinate with the seller. Approved refunds for a creator's product may be deducted from that creator's earnings or future payouts in accordance with our Terms of Service and our payment provider's rules.

8. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute instead of contacting us can delay resolution and may lead to your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks we believe are unwarranted, including those for already-delivered digital goods.
